Bethany Home and 81st Rd to and around the University of Phoenix Stadium

The ride is paved, flat except for three underpasses, there are no streets to cross if you start on 81st Ave south of Bethany Home Ave. An alternate starting point is Hero's Park on the other side of Bethany Home Ave. The ride to the stadium is family friendly until the main entrance but becomes considerably more challenging afterwards .

This is the home field of the NFL's Arizona Cardinals, the comlex also the houses the home arena of the NHL's Phoenix Coyotes plus a dozen or so restaurants and bars.




This section of the Grand Canal linear park on 81st ave Bethany Home Rd provides parking and picnic facilities



the path starts to the right of the the ramada

and quickly heads towards Bethany Home Rd

through this short underpass

on the other side the path from hero's park joins us and heads towards this bridge

Cross the bridge

and make a quick right turn onto the grand canal trail

follow this trail for about 3/4 of a mile

where you will come to a bridge across the canal

take this bridge to the other side of the canal

go to the left where the path leaves the canal

and follow it for about a 1/2 mile

until you reach a slight left that takes you under 91st ave

and continues for about a 1/4 mile where it rejoins the gravel canal trail near the stadium parking lots


continue to 95th ave, go right until you reach the main stadium entrance

continuing to the right you will pass security entrance

and the Club West entrance

next you will come to gate 1

after which the sidewalk leaves the stadium

follow it

to the corner

turn left and proceed

until the sidewalk restarts

where you will come to

Gate 3

and the Club East entrance

followed by Gate 2

then back to the main stadium entrance
